More Young Racers Beginning Stock Car Racing Experience
Logan Johnson of Washburn joined a growing list of entry-level racers at Spud Speedway’s Enduro class. There were enough race cars that two heat races were run to accommodate the cars.
Johnson, with the help of Donald Rideout of RTM Racing and Thibodeau & Son Trucking, put together the Toyota in just a few weeks. The youngster has Type One Diabetes and has attended Camp Adventure which is geared toward his age group who have diabetes. The camp is featured prominently on the door panels of the #9 car.
In his first race on the 1/3 mile oval Johnson placed seventh in his heat. He followed that up with a seventh place in the feature.
On a personal note I wore a Go-Pro helmet camera on the Aroostook Limousines/Smith Farms Stag Brand Alpha Vegetable #10 Champ Kart in the feature race. I was closing on second place Chase Chandler. Ten more laps and I am sure I could have passed him. Sure….

I am sorry about the delay in getting a complete blog to you. Bangor daily and I have been trying ways to restore the original. I decided to at least post the photos without the verbiage. Back at at it again Sunday evening with a better result.
