County drag racer finishes season strong

County racers were busy this past weekend. Crouseville drag racer Gene Cyr was in Winterport, Caribou’s Jesse Michaud was vintage stock car racing at Wiscasset, and Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault was at Maine’s largest agriculture fair, the Fryeburg Fair for truck & tractor pulls with the family-owned Ground Pounder II 4 wd truck.

Theriault closes in on ARCA title

An ARCA racing championship has become a distinct possibility for Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault. Hardly anyone wants to say that he has clinched, probably not wanting anything negative to hamper the young man’s efforts. USAC Silver Crown points leader, Kody Swanson is running a parallel track with Theriault this season, often racing at the same venue during the same race weekend. Swanson’s 105 point lead practically assures him of the ppoints championship.

Maine native Theriault wins number six

Fort Kent, Maine’s Austin Theriault is the “real deal” in ARCA Racing championship battle. Theriault won his sixth race of the 2017 season and his third in a row at Salem Speedway, Indiana. Northern Maine Karting Association caps off another season of racing with Maine State Invitational with post race awards.
